Catholic High Primary School vs Chong Fu Primary School
Friday, 29 June 2007, at Catholic High School

Story and pictures by Mr Bernard Han, a teacher of Catholic High School. Thanks!

The Catholic High Primary boys were up against good opponents in the form of Chong Fu Primary School who were able to match them point for point for two innings. It was not until the third inning that Catholic High Primary managed to pull away to lead 12-4.

In the crucial fourth inning, it was Chong Fu Primary who had to bat. Catholic High’s Ryan (#7) stood in for Alex (#12) as pitcher for this inning to give Alex some time to rest, and he did not disappoint, putting up a decent performance to ruffle the first batter before he managed to hit the ball. However, he could not get far as it was Ryan who picked up the ball and threw it to first base for the first out of the inning. The next batter took up position and managed to get himself safe on first base. Unfortunately, Mr Edward Coules, the teacher-in-charge of the Catholic High Primary team, noticed that the batter has batted out of order. As such, both batters were ruled out and Catholic High gained their chance to bat.

The Catholic High Primary boys did not disappoint as they chalked up four more runs to end the inning. The final results of the match was 18 – 4 in favour of Catholic High Primary.
