The boys from Catholic High showed no signs of mercy as they chalked up run after runright from the first inning. The gulf in standards was apparent as the Catholic High boys were stealing bases with ease. Hits were far and few as the Yuying pitcher was inconsistent, giving away more walks than strikes. By the time Yuying managed to get 3 outs from Catholic High, the score was already 15-0. At the changeover, all three batters from Yuying were struck out consecutively as they were unable to handle the fast pitches from Jerald (73).

Catholic High managed only two runs in the second inning as the pitcher from Yuying turned in an improved performance. The Catholic High boys began to face difficulties in hitting the balls thrown at them, and they were unable to advance far on the bases. However, Yuying could do no better at their turn to bat even when Jiafan (15), a Secondary 1 student, was given the chance to pitch. With Yuying already at two batters down, Jiafan (15) promptly dispatch the last batter from the home plate with his first senior team strike out. The second inning ended at 17-0 in favour of Catholic High.

The third inning saw Catholic High extend their lead, with Wee Kian (37) managing to hit a home run. The remainder of the runs were scored with errors off the catcher from Yuying. At the changeover, Jiafan (15) continued his excellent job at pitching to contribute to Yuying’s misery. The game eventually ended with a score of 29-0.
