Hey athletes and supporters,

Guess what? We crossed the 70,000-visitor mark sometime last night.

Just imagine that. And we’ve only been around since 1st Feb 07, 106 days ago.

Just imagine playing at the National Stadium with a full house, all crammed cheek by jowl, cheering you on. Your every move cheered, every mistake groaned at, your every goal sending the crowd into ecstasy.

70,000 people.

That’s how many people have come to this site to read about you, to learn about your exploits on the field of play, to see you in action, to praise you, to argue over you.

70,000 people.

That’s how many people who believe that school sports is a time in life you will never forget, should never forget and can never forget. The greater world thinks school sports is no big deal. They believe international sports is better and more glamorous. But the foreign athletes are not one of us, and we are not one of them.

School sports is a big deal because this is our home, our school, our team and our time. And we will tell the world.

Because to put on that school jersey is a privilege, an honour, a responsibility. When you walk onto the field of play, you play not just for yourself, but for your mates, your school, your friends, your supporters and your family.

Remember this time well because you come this way but once.

And Red Sports remembers with you.

Red Sports. Always Game.
