Ang Chee Yong was the fastest Singaporean when he clocked 2 hours 56 minutes 23.37 seconds in the Sundown Marathon. His timing was good enough for a second-place finish behind Stuart Haynes of Great Britain who clocked 2:45:09.22.
Singapore's Anne Qi Hui won the women's half-marathon race at the Sundown Marathon in a time of 1 hour 27 minutes 35.16 seconds.
The 2013 Sundown Marathon race route will feature the Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Flyer, as well as the soon-to-be-completed Singapore Sports Hub.
The organisers of the Sundown Marathon confirmed the routes for the 100km ultramarathon today.
Singaporean Anne Hui Qi, 29, won the women's ultramarathon in 8 hours 4 seconds, 47 minutes faster than last year's record. Korean Jae Duk Sim won the men's category in 6:18:48, chopping off 78min from last year’s winning time of 7:36:05. It was a debut effort for both runners.
