IVP High Jump: NYP’s Hairul Syamil wins hat-trick of titles but falls short of record

In his three years of competing in the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) men’s high jump event, Hairul Syamil of Nanyang Polytechnic has won in 2018 and 2019 but he was still unsatisfied with his performance in the final year of competition. Since 2018, Hairul has been eyeing the IVP championship high jump record of 2.04 metres, held by none other than his coach, Ronnie Cai, who was watching from the sidelines.

IVP Track & Field: NTU’s Chilton Ong returns to 3000m Steeplechase throne; NUS’ Tan Hui Xin breaks women’s championship record

After a three-year hiatus from the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Games due to his National Service (NS) commitments, Chilton Ong of Nanyang Technological University (NTU) reclaimed his throne in the 3000m steeplechase in his first race as a university student. In the Women’s race, NUS’ Tan Hui Xin led from start to finish to clinch gold with a new championship record of 13:04.04, bettering her NUS senior Lok Xin Ying’s previous record of 13:09.91, set last year.

IVP Floorball (Men’s): Slew of early goals brings SMU to semi-final after 6-2 win over SP
