The second last day of the National Schools Wushu Championship saw more athletes securing the sweet achievement of three gold medals – the maximum number individual contestants can achieve.
Jayson Yanoria (NV #24), Tiong Chuan Yao (NV #9) and Ye Hui (NV #7) were in double digit figures, with Ye Hui (NV #7) leading the charge. He scored a game-high 18 points, followed closely behind by teammate Tiong Chuan Yao (NV #9) with 17.
The defense and hustle play of Woodlands Ring (WR) shone through against Maris Stella (MS) which led to a 41-29 victory.
Maris Stella High dug deep to secure a 59-52 victory over rivals Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary behind 26 points from Albert (#4).
Catholic High made nine-3 pointers on their way to defeat Maris Stella 59-40, claiming their first victory in the 2nd round of the North Zone B Division Basketball Championship.
Chee Heng (FC #8) led his team to victory by scoring a game-high 22 points.
The RI student's finish is an improvement from last year's final, where he ran 10:50.55 to finish in fifth place.
