Can anybody find 200 people to demonstrate for Singapore sports?

As a Singaporean, it be nice to see just a small percentage of the passion for international sports being shown for local sports as well. While I don't expect stadiums to be filled at S.League matches or people to start reciting the Singapore Slingers’ roster by heart any time soon, don’t you think it would be nice to see a little support for local sports as well?

Since readers had so much fun picking their own XI, we decided to have a go ourselves. Having covered the A Division Football Championship right from the start of the first round, here is our best first eleven from this year’s edition.

Is there no ultimate victory possible without foreign talent?

This has been a week of mixed emotions for Singapore sports fans. There was deep disappointment for hockey and football fans when the national squads were turned down by the Singapore National Olympic Council for the Asian Games. On the other hand, the women's table tennis team came back from Moscow as world champions after they beat China for the first time.
