Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Monday, April 14, 2014 — Muhammad Syazani of Singapore Sports School (SSP) took home the boys’ B Division 200m gold medal with a timing of 23.00 seconds at the 55th National Inter-School Track & Field Championships.

SSP bagged all three medals, with Edwin Tan and Rayhan Bin Fairuz sweeping the silver and bronze in 23.29s and 23.39s respectively.

This is also the first time that Syazani, the defending B Division 100m champion, is participating in the B Division 200m event. The Sports School student commented, “It feels awesome, because I trained so long for this. Finally, my training has paid off.”

The B Division 200m record is 21.88s and was set in 1999 by Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) alumnus, and current national runner, Poh Seng Song.
