Chiang Mai, Thailand, June 5–14, 2013 – Singapore won a total of 34 medals at the 2013 14th ASEAN Age Group Chess Championships.

The haul consisted of 20 team medals (3 gold, 8 silver, 9 bronze medals), and 14 individual medals (7 gold, 1 silver, 6 bronze).

426 players from 13 countries, namely Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Laos, Mongolia, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taipei and Vietnam, participated in the event.

Singapore sent 49 juniors and three senior veterans, and they took part in the Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, and Under-20 categories. There was also a separate category for seniors above 50.

There were three chess tournaments held throughout the course of the 10 days – Standard, Rapid, and Blitz Chess.
