Nanyang Technological University, Sunday, June 3, 2012 — Keat Hong CSC beat Nanyang CSC 3-1 in their opening game of the Community Games table tennis tournament.

There were two other matches involving teams from the Chua Chu Kang Cluster. Bukit Gombak CSC beat Chua Chu Kang CSC 3-0 while Yew Tee CSC beat Hong Kah North CSC 3-1 in another match up.

There are seven teams from the Chua Chu Kang Cluster vying for a chance to play in the Singapore National Games. The top two teams from the Cluster will go on to play in the Singapore National Games scheduled for September 1st to 9th.

Steath Kho and Siak Mun Fong got Keat Hong off to a winning start with a 3-0 (11-4, 11-2, 11-4) win over their Nanyang opponents, Zhang Lifeng and Leroy Koh.

“I play table tennis once or twice a week,” said Stealth Kho, 45, a regular in the Singapore Navy. “It helps me relieve stress after work.”

On hand to watch the games were residents of Chua Chu Kang Cluster. They were joined by their grassroots advisers, Mr Gan Kim Yong, Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Mr Alvin Yeo, Ms Low Yen Ling, and Mr Alex Yam.
