Republic Poly, Monday, April 16, 2012 — Anglo-Chinese Junior College opened their National A Division Netball Championship campaign with a huge 89-16 win over Meridian Junior College.

Their game was followed by St Andrew’s Junior College overcoming Catholic Junior College 56-15 while Nanyang Junior College took down Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) 58-10.

The match of the day was certainly the one between Temasek Junior College and Anderson Junior College as both teams were neck and neck with TJC leading by three goals at the end of the third quarter.

AJC managed to level the score in the 4th quarter with a few minutes to go. However, TJC managed to convert AJC’s center pass and led by one point with their center pass coming up next.

However, TJC were too anxious to make a shot and their shooter missed, allowing AJC a chance to draw level. TJC thwarted them by taking back possession and keeping the ball in their attacking third until time ran out to win 30-29.
