Jalan Besar Stadium, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 — Where have some of the LionsXII fans gone to?
There were large banks of empty seats at the King George Gallery Stand when the Singapore LionsXII beat Felda United FC 3-1 in the Malaysian Super League (MSL).
The official attendance was about 7,000 in the 7,500-seater Jalan Besar Stadium. 80% of tickets were sold during the pre-match sales period.
In the LionsXII’s previous home game against Negeri Sembilan, 90% of tickets were sold during the pre-match sales period. The first three home games were sell outs.
The LionsXII have eight more home games in an MSL season that will end in the middle of July 2012.
Let’s hope the fans come back.
