VivoCity Amphitheatre, Saturday and Sunday, March 3 and 4, 2012 — After two days of intense competition, four secondary school dance teams emerged with the highest scores to qualify for the final of the annual Danceworks! competition.
The schools are (in alphabetical order):
Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) (Team name: Century Breakers)
Bendemeer Secondary (Team name: The Street’s Addiction)
Fajar Secondary (Team name: Free Swag)
Juying Secondary (Team name: Freshest Nutz)
Held annually since 1999, DanceWorks! is one of Singapore’s biggest dance competitions and enjoys a loyal following among youth in Singapore. The competition is organised by the National Council Against Drug Abuse and the Central Narcotics Bureau, and aims to promote an active drug-free lifestyle.
A total of 25 teams took part in Category II of the competition, for youth aged between 13 and 17 years. They competed in two preliminary rounds held over two afternoons, and the four teams with the highest scores from across both rounds moved into the final round which will be held on April 7th, 2012.

6th place: Juying Secondary School (Team name: GROOVY NUTZ)
