No one expected the girls to have come this far but yet Temasek Junior College, Dunman High School and National Junior College are now just one step away from gaining a top-four spot in the A Division Girls National Basketball Championship.

Three teams, one spot. Which team will qualify?

Depending on Friday’s results, one team from the three of Temasek Junior College, Dunman High School and National Junior College will qualify for the A division semi-finals and achieve a much-coveted top four spot.

Of the three teams, TJC have the highest chance of qualifying, having narrowly beaten NJC on Monday with a score of 39-37, and just need a victory against DHS to qualify as the runners-up of Group Y.

As for DHS, after today’s 35-31 loss to NJC, not only do they need a victory against TJC, they would need to win by a margin of greater than 6 due to an inferior goal difference.

Any victory with a margin of fewer than 7 will see NJC through to the semi-finals. NJC will play VJC on Friday, and it is a match which VJC should be able to cruise through. But if NJC manage to surprise VJC with a victory, they will also qualify.

The DHS vs TJC and NJC vs VJC games will be played at the Singapore Basketball Centre on Friday at 3pm.

Results between the three teams:
NJC vs TJC: 37-39
DHS vs NJC : 31-35
DHS vs TJC : To be played on Friday

Current goal difference between the three teams
