Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 – For the third year running, the wushu girls of Victoria Junior College have emerged overall champions at the National Inter-School Wushu Competition 2008.

They attained two golds for the group events with their excellent team coordination and routine.

Despite trailing Meridian Junior College for the first few days, Victoria Junior College’s Girls managed to catch up and wrestle away the lead.

The rivalry between Meridian and Victoria could be clearly seen as both schools took home either first or second place in both the A Division Boys and Girls category. In the end, an excellent VJC showed enough quality to clinch the Challenge trophy.
