Red Sports: How long have you played basketball for your school?
Yee Nei: I just started to play basketball as a CCA in secondary school last year.

Red Sports: What is your most memorable, happiest moment playing for your school?
Yee Nei: The match against Anglican High in the Nationals. They were very good and beat us before (50-45 in the East Zone semifinal) so we were elated to beat them (46-37 in the National quarterfinal stage. As a result, Chung Cheng High made it into the semifinals while Anglican High didn’t).

Red Sports: What was the most exciting game you played in during the Nationals? Why was it exciting?
Yee Nei: The match against RGS. We gave our best and managed to win (53-43).

Red Sports: What is your favourite shot and favourite team tactic?
Yee Nei: 3-pointers. Our team hardly uses any tactics. Haha.

Red Sports: How did you get started with basketball?
Yee Nei: My parents objected to me joining any sports CCA since primary school. But I managed to take up basketball as my CCA in secondary school before they could object. Haha.

Red Sports: What is the hardest thing you had to overcome as a school player?
Yee Nei: The exhaustion after trainings and I couldn’t concentrate on my studies during tournaments as I tend to fall asleep in class.

Red Sports: Any advice to the juniors who are trying to break into the school team next year?
Yee Nei: Go for the ball and work hard. Don’t slack during trainings. Hard work pays off.

Red Sports: Are you hoping to play on in the ‘B’ Division?
Yee Nei: Yes, I guess. I’m sure the atmosphere would be much more tense than ‘C’ Division basketball.
